Shendel Lee
Christian
Oct 7, 1991 — Sep 14, 2026
Troy, NH
Shendel Lee Christian, 34, of Troy, New Hampshire, passed away at home on September 14, 2026, following a courageous battle with ALS. Though her time was far too short, Shendel filled her life with creativity, music, love, and, above all, the immeasurable joy of being a mother to her three beloved daughters.
Born on October 7, 1991, in Peterborough, New Hampshire, Shendel was the daughter of Porter Hollywood and Michelle Winters. She graduated from Monadnock Regional High School in 2009.
Shendel had a beautiful, creative spirit and a deep love for art, painting, and music. She found happiness in the colors of a canvas, the beauty of flowers, and the rhythm of a good song. Sunflowers, daisies, and carnations held a special place in her heart, as did R&B and a good pop song. A talented singer, Shendel had a gift for bringing music to life, especially when she was singing and dancing alongside her three girls. Those moments, filled with laughter, music, and the simple happiness of being together, were among her most treasured.
Above all else, Shendel was a devoted wife and mother. Her beloved husband, Nathan, and their three daughters were the center of her world and the greatest loves of her life. Her love for her girls was woven into everything she did, and the memories they created together will forever be a part of them. Her voice, her laughter, her creativity, and the love she poured into her family will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
Shendel is predeceased by her father Porter, and her mother Michelle.
Shendel leaves behind her beloved husband, Nathan Christian, of Troy, New Hampshire; her three cherished daughters, Cassie, Courtney, and Caidence, her stepson Taylor Christian; her sister, Teila Sherwin, of Oklahoma; and her sister-in-law, Aprylle Medeiros of Florida, as well as many family and friends. She will be deeply missed by her family and all who were fortunate enough to know and love her.
A celebration of Shendel’s life will be held at a later date.
Donations in Shendel’s memory may be made to support her family through their GoFundMe page.
