Obituary

Sarah M. (Bell) Cheverier, 47 of Stoddard, New Hampshire, passed away peacefully on August 11, 2026, at Pheasant Wood Rehabilitation Center in Peterborough, New Hampshire surrounded by the love of her family and the caring staff.

Born on January 3, 1979, to Bruce Bell and Karen Bell (Hayes) in New Haven, Connecticut, Sarah was a member of the United Presbyterian Church of Milford, Connecticut, where her faith and community were meaningful parts of her life

Those who knew Sarah will remember her for the joy she found in the simple things and, most of all, in the people she loved. She had a creative spirit and enjoyed crafting, making jewelry, and scrapbooking. She cherished time spent at the family cottage on Highland Lake and looked forward to camping and traveling whenever she could. Sarah loved being surrounded by family and friends, sharing laughter, making memories, and playing games of all kinds, especially card games. She had a way of making ordinary moments feel special simply by being there.

Sarah was the devoted wife of Joseph Cheverier and a loving mother to her son, Matthew Hester of Danielson, Connecticut. She is also survived by her sister, Amber Bell of Stoddard, New Hampshire.

Sarah was predeceased by her beloved brother, Brian Bell, in August 2006.

Sarah leaves behind a lifetime of memories woven into the lives of the people who loved her. Her kindness, creativity, laughter, and love will continue to be remembered in every family gathering, every game played, every handmade treasure, and every quiet moment when she is missed.

Calling hours will be held on Saturday, August 22, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Cheshire Family Funeral Home, 44 Maple Avenue, Keene, New Hampshire.

Donations may be made in Sarah’s memory to The Monadnock Humane Society.
