Ryan Newell

Ryan Patrick Newell, 48, of Swanzey, New Hampshire, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, January 10, 2026. He was born on September 13, 1977, to Eleanor "Chickie" and Leroy Newell.

Ryan was a graduate of Monadnock Regional High School and had spent his career working in the construction field.

A lifelong Buffalo Bills fan, Ryan's enthusiasm for "his team" was matched only by his love for the outdoors. He found joy in hunting, fishing, playing poker, building cars for demolition derbies, and what he and his brother joked around about as "Nascar naps." He most recently developed a love for gardening and landscaping which his fiancée will continue.

He loved his dogs dearly, and his home was always filled with their companionship and energy. Ryan had a sweet tooth for life's simple comforts, especially his Aunt Peanut's no-bake cookies, which he enjoyed as much as the company of the people he loved. Ryan cherished his role as a grandfather, and his heart was full of pride when the grandchildren of his fiancée, Tasha Kilanski called him "Papa." He loved Tasha deeply, and the two shared a home and bond filled with laughter, devotion, and the simple pleasures of life.

Ryan is survived by both his parents Leroy and Eleanor "Chickie" Newell (Bolio); brother Anthony Newell and wife Nicole; fiancée Tasha Kilanski; grandchildren Harley, Faith, Benjamin, Danielle; daughter Elizabeth Newell and grandson Callahan Blanchette; stepdaughters Claire, Cecilia; nieces, aunts, uncles, and cousins; and many who held a special place in Ryan's life.

To honor Ryan's memory and joy he brought to those who knew him, Calling hours will be held from 5PM to 7PM on Friday, January 16, 2026, at Cheshire Family Funeral Chapel, 44 Maple Ave, Keene, NH. A burial will be held in the Spring.
