Roger Edmond Joslyn, 81, of Westport, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 6, 2026, at Cheshire Medical Center.

He was born on October 3, 1944, in Keene, the son of the late Pauline (Willis) and Edmond Joslyn.

Roger was a hardworking man who spent much of his life working in the logging and lumber industry. 

For 50yrs, Roger exchanged vows with the love of his life, Dori Whitney. They had a simple ceremony with family and friends gathered to celebrate them. They were happily married.

He was known for his free spirit, his ability to make people laugh, and his willingness to do anything he could for those around him. Roger enjoyed having a good time with a natural light, smoking weed, and never took life too seriously. He enjoyed going UFO hunting with his son Jeremiah. He had a special love for his grandchildren and cherished the time he was able to spend with his family. Roger was also a music lover, with a particular appreciation for Elvis Presley. His best friends were Ronnie Savard & Wesley they were the Westport boys. His outgoing personality, sense of humor, and generous heart made him someone who was remembered fondly by all who knew him. 

He is survived by his children, Cory Joslyn, Chris Joslyn & wife Jennifer Joslyn, Jeremiah Joslyn, Todd Joslyn, Nick Joslyn, and Lindsey Joslyn; his sister, Donna Savard; and his 20 grandchildren, and 7 great grandchildren who brought great joy and happiness into his life. He is also survived by extended family and many friends who will miss his laughter, free spirit, and one-of-a-kind personality. Roger was preceded in death by his beloved spouse, Dori Joslyn, who passed away in April 2004.

Roger lived life in his own way, with a generous heart and a genuine love for the people around him. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
