Obituary

Robert Wesley Trombi, 66, of Keene, passed away on Sunday, August 23, 2026. Born in Springfield, MA on June 21, 1960, he was the son of the late William Trombi and Carolyn (Hassell) Herr.

Robert grew up in Conway, MA, and graduated from Keene High School in 1978. After High School, he proudly and honorably served his country for 21 years as a member of the Army National Guard. He was a dedicated member of the New Hampshire State Grange for 50 years, serving as President from 2020 to 2022, and devoted many years to serving as Scoutmaster of Troop 302 in Keene. In his free time, he cherished spending time with family and friends, sharing his witty sarcasm and making them laugh. He especially enjoyed annual family camping trips, geocaching, and singing with the Keene Cheshirmen Chorus.

He is survived by his loving wife Jane (Campbell) Trombi; sons Zachary Trombi and Gregory Trombi; sisters Gina Sekula and husband David, Sharon Bohannon and husband Dan, Julie Fitzgerald and husband Lee, Jennie Powell and husband Dan; brothers William Trombi Jr., Rand Paulin and wife Marjo; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews. He is predeceased by his parents, William Trombi Sr. and Carolyn Herr; stepparents; stepbrothers Robert and Donald Faulkner; and Ray Paulin.

Calling hours will be held from 4PM to 7PM on Friday, September 11, 2026, at Cheshire Family Funeral Chapel, 44 Maple Ave, Keene, NH 03431. A burial will be held at 11AM on Saturday, September 12, 2026, at the Monadnock View Cemetery, 499 Park Avenue, Keene, NH 03431.
