Obituary

Robert F. Lynch Jr. ("Bob" "Bobby" "Uncle Bobo"), a lifelong resident of the Keene area, was called home, to be with our Lord, on Friday, March 20, 2026. He was surrounded by the love of his family and covered with prayers from his entire community of friends. He was born, in Keene, on July 24, 1969, to the late Robert F. Lynch Sr. and the late Barbara M. (Poland) Lynch, completing their family.

Bob grew up in Sullivan and was a friend to all who knew him. He attended Monadnock Regional High School. Despite his health issues, primarily chronic kidney disease, Bob carried a resilience and determination that helped strengthen those he encountered. Through it all he managed to leave behind a wealth of memories that his family and friends will cherish and share for many years to come.

In January 1999, Bob married Saundra (Ferrell), and together they built a life filled with shared interests and community involvement. They enjoyed playing pool and were very active in the area, winning their way to Las Vegas in various championships. Bob had a big soft spot in his heart for their many Pug dogs that they had through the years.

In 1977, while at Boston Children's Hospital, Bobby met Reggie Jackson, who was playing for the New York Yankees. Reggie signed his cast, prayed for him, and said, "I am going to hit a home run for you tomorrow." He did just that-several times that day. This became a highlight of Bob's life, and he remained an avid Yankees fan.

In the early 1980s, Bob owned and operated "Bob's Baseball Card Shop" on Central Square in Keene, He also sponsored Bob's Baseball Team and enjoyed his time playing ball with his teammates. He later worked in several convenience stores before opening Hidden Treasures in Swanzey NH with his wife. In more recent years, Bob enjoyed working as a delivery driver in the area.

Bob is survived by his wife, Saundra; of Keene NH his sisters, Linda Hitchcock of Alstead NH and Kelly Trudelle of Washington NH , their husbands, Jeremy Hitchcock and Mark Trudelle; his partner, Jennifer Lawton; his mother in-law Wanda Sherman and his five nephews, Rick Bilodeau, with whom he had grown particularly close, spending many hours together in the last year, Shane Bilodeau, Kurt Trudelle, Jacob Hitchcock, and Michael Hitchcock. Among his many friends, he was especially close to Shawn Maguire and Larry Bonner. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him, his humor and loyalty will never be forgotten. Fly high little brother

Calling hours will take place at the Cheshire Funeral Home on Park Ave in Keene April 4th, 2026, at 10 am. A private burial will take place later.
