Robert R. King, Jr.

Robert P. King Jr., 85, a resident of Keene, passed away peacefully and quietly on Sunday, October 20, 2024, after a period of declining health with the love of family surrounding him. He was born a son to the late Marguerite (Walker) and Robert P. King Sr. on June 29, 1939, in Brattleboro, VT. He was educated and graduated from Brattleboro Union High School, class of 1957. After high school, Robert enlisted into the United States Army on August 11, 1957. On February 4, 1958, he was Honorably discharged from active duty for training. On October 8, 1960, Robert exchanged vows with the love of his life, Cynthia Jackson. They had a simple service in Winchester with family and friends celebrating them. Robert was dedicated to his work for 47 years as a lineman for Eversource. Along with working, he enjoyed his time being a part of the Now and Then Car Club, a member of the Cheshire Fish & Game Club, long-time involvement with the Boy Scouts, and being an instructor for Hunter Safety.
