Obituary

Rexyne Lightfoot, 85, of Keene, passed away on Saturday, June 6, 2026. Born on March 8, 1941, in Petersham, MA, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Floy (Anderson) Lawson.

Rexyne was raised in Petersham, Massachusetts, and graduated from Mahar Regional High School in 1959. Shortly after graduation, she met the love of her life, Frederick Charles Lightfoot. The couple married on July 18, 1964, and celebrated their honeymoon with a memorable trip to the New York World's Fair. Dedicated and hardworking, Rexyne enjoyed a successful career with Peerless Insurance, where she worked for 30 years before retiring.

In her spare time, Rexyne cherished spending time with her family, watching her son play hockey while growing up, especially during summers at Wakeda Campground and Salisbury Beach. She also enjoyed traveling with her husband to Toronto and on multiple trips to Washington D.C. and was a devoted listener of the Larry Glick radio program.

She is survived by her loving husband of 64 years Frederick Charles Lightfoot; son Darin Lightfoot and girlfriend Kristin Berg; daughter Deanne Pollard; grandchildren Ashley Lightfoot, Matthew Pollard and wife Courtney, Timmy Pollard and wife Jill, and Justin Pollard and wife Whitney. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her sister Mildren Britt; and brothers Glen Lawson and Herman Lawson.

A visitation will be held from 4PM to 7PM on Thursday, June 11, 2026, at Cheshire Family Funeral Home, 44 Maple Ave, Keene, NH, with a service to begin at 6PM. A burial will be held at 11AM on Friday, June 12, 2026, at East Street Cemetery, East St, Petersham, MA.
