Peter William Zavorotny, 80, a resident of Keene, passed away peacefully and quietly on Saturday, September 28, 2024, with the love of family by his side at the Covenant Living of Keene.
He was born a son to the late Marjorie (Fay) and Peter Zavorotny on May 18, 1944, in Brattleboro, VT. He was educated locally at Hinsdale High School, class of 1962. He then went to East Coast Aero Technical School in Bedford, MA.
Peter enlisted into the Army National Guard on December 3, 1964. He was a light truck driver and operator based in Fort Dix, New Jersey. He was Honorably discharged at the rank of Private E-2 on April 16, 1965.
On July 9, 1966, Peter exchanged vows with the love of his life, Bonnie Valinda Farnum. They had a simple service in Winchester with family and friends celebrating them.
He worked for Pratt and Whitney in Connecticut and for M.P.B, now, Timken Super Precision in Keene for 45 years, retiring in 2010.
