Peter Thayer

Peter “Pete” J. Thayer, 67, of Harrisville, passed away on Friday, May 9, 2025, while in the comfort of his home. Born on October 16, 1957, in Keene, NH, he was the son of the late Warren and Mary (O’Gara) Thayer. Pete grew up in Harrisville and graduated from Keene High School in 1975 and then went on to graduate from NH Vocational Tech in 1977. With a love for aviation, he spent over 15 years in the airline industry working for Precision Airlines RP, a regional carrier where he fueled planes, hand wrote airline tickets, loaded passengers and bags onto commuter planes to name a few of his duties. He will be truly missed by his RP family. Pete then went on to work for Hamshaw Lumber where he worked for 26 years until the day of his passing. Pete was a world traveler who loved traveling with his wife Pam and son Quinn, exploring Egypt with his father and learning about his ancestry while in Ireland.
