Obituary

Paul D. Ethier, 75, of Keene, NH, passed away on Friday, October 9, 2026.

Born on March 26, 1951, Paul was raised in Keene, a community that remained close to his heart throughout his life. He graduated from Keene High School in 1969 and went on to build a life filled with hard work, laughter, adventure, and a deep appreciation for the people and simple pleasures that made life meaningful.

Paul was a man of many interests and talents, with a curious spirit and a love for keeping his hands and mind busy. Over the years, he worked as a driver and machinist, including time with MPB Timken and GS Precision. Outside of work, Paul found joy in a wide variety of pursuits. A drummer with a love for music, he also enjoyed motorcycles, historic cars, photography, oil painting, hiking, skiing, and skydiving. Whether he was exploring the outdoors, admiring a classic automobile, or capturing a moment through the lens of his camera, Paul had a way of finding beauty and enjoyment in the world around him. He had a particular fondness for the color yellow, a fitting reflection of the warmth and brightness he brought to the lives of those who knew him.

Paul also had a compassionate heart, especially when it came to animals. He generously volunteered his time with the Windham County Humane Society, an organization whose mission reflected his kindness and concern for creatures great and small.

Above all else, Paul treasured the life he shared with his beloved wife, Kimberly. The time they spent together, whether enjoying an adventure or simply being in one another’s company, was among their greatest joys. His love for his family, his many interests, and his appreciation for life’s everyday moments will remain a lasting part of how he is remembered.

Paul leaves behind his loving wife, Kimberly (Kim) Ethier; his son, Shawn Ethier, and his wife, Tammy, of Tucson, AZ; and his granddaughter, Emma Watkins (Ethier). He is also remembered by his niece, Mary Sousa of Nashua, and many other nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Lorna Brown.

Paul will be remembered for his adventurous spirit, his kindness toward animals, his creative interests, and the love he shared so freely with those closest to him. His was a life enriched by curiosity, companionship, and the simple joys that so often become our most treasured memories.
