Nancy Jean Roy, 92, of Winchester, passed away on Thursday, February 12, 2026. Born in Winchester, NH, on March 17, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Lewis and Byrdis (Putnam) Hodgman.

A lifelong, well-known and loved resident of Winchester, Nancy graduated from Thayer High School in 1951. The following year, she married the love of her life Winston A. Roy Sr, where they shared 45 loving years of marriage until his passing in 1997. She was employed at National Grange Mutual Insurance and Monadnock Family Services before dedicating more than 40 years to the family business, W.A. Roy & Sons, where she remained until her retirement. Nancy was also very active in the Thayer High School Alumni and VFW Woman's Auxiliary 3968. She loved spending time with her family; especially her grandchildren, hosting large family reunions, and traveling to numerous places but especially to Virginia and Pennsylvania to see her family. In her free time, she enjoyed candlepin bowling, dancing, playing card games especially garbage, listening to old country music and watching westerns.

She is survived by her sons Gary Roy and wife Teri of Bluffton, SC, Reggie Roy and wife Debbie of Glenmoore, PA, Jay Roy and wife Becky of Winchester, NH; sisters Carolyn Warren, Betty Snow, Ruth Archibald, June Sonosky; sister-in-law Natalie Hodgman; grandchildren Jared Roy, Travis Roy and wife Tabitha, Stefanie Turner and husband Randy, Kaitlin Mannila and husband Cody, Alixa Martineau and husband Chad, Cody Roy, Sara Champney, Jessica Madden, David Roy, Melissa Roy-Hill; and many great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her husband Winston A. Roy Sr; sister Phyllis Guyer, brother William Hodgman; stepson Winston A. Roy Jr; grandson Jason Roy; and brothers-in-law Gene Snow and Bob Sonosky.

A visitation will be held from 10:00AM to 12:00PM on Saturday, February 21, 2026, at the United Church of Winchester, 99 Main St, Winchester, NH, with a funeral service to begin at 12:00PM. A burial will be held in the Spring at Evergreen Cemetery.
