Maureen E. “Boo” Wehner, 78, of Swanzey, NH, passed away on Friday, November 28, 2025, at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center. Born in Alameda, CA, on February 1, 1947, she was the daughter of the late William and Gertrude (Daneri) Gribble.

Nicknamed “Boo” by her grandfather since she was young, she had grown up in California. In 1967, she graduated from St. Joseph’s College of Nursing in San Fransico and became a registered nurse. She enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1968 as staff nurse and earned the rank First Lieutenant until she was honorably discharged. After the service, she earned her bachelor’s in psychology at Eastern Connecticut State College, and then her master’s in rehabilitation counseling at Springfield College. For over 36 years, she held various positions in nursing throughout California and Connecticut. She retired in 2012 as a school nurse in Bloomfield, CT, and would fill in as a substitute nurse in various schools until 2015.

Boo was an avid reader, a big fan of the NY Yankees, San Fransico 49ers, and UConn women’s basketball, and she enjoyed many forms of auto racing and watching the races from the stands; especially NASCAR and NHRA.

She is survived by her loving husband of 54 years Jeffrey Wehner of Swanzey, NH; daughters Sarah Burgess and husband Jason of Swanzey, NH, and Alissa Wehner and partner Sean Carroll of Bristol, CT. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her brother Timothy Gribble of Ione, CA; and sister Leanor “Nora” Gribble-Smock of Sutter Creek, CA.
