Maria Teresa Whitney

Maria Teresa Fajardo Whitney, aged 68, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 7, 2025, at Cheshire Medical Center in Keene, New Hampshire. Born on July 30, 1956, in Makati City, Philippines, she was the beloved daughter of Nicanor and Jovita. Maria Teresa, known affectionately as Tess, Edeck, Tere, Tita Tess or Nangnang, spent most of her life in Makati City before moving to New Hampshire, where she married Norman “Norm” Whitney, in 2006. Norm lovingly called her “Honey.” Maria Teresa was known for her deep generosity and quiet strength. She always put others before herself and found joy in life’s simple pleasures. One of her favorite pastimes was baking, especially experimenting with Filipino favorites like pan de sal, which she lovingly shared with friends and family. She lived with humility, grace and a deep love for those around her. Her zest for life, her laughter and her kindness will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
