Marc Jeffrey Serber, 77, of Alstead, NH, passed away while surrounded by family on Wednesday, May 13, 2026. Born on April 1, 1949, in the Bronx, NY, he was the son of the late John and Roslyn (Abramowitz) Serber.
Marc grew up in Seattle and Alabama and devoted much of his younger years to education and personal growth. He graduated from the University of Alabama, the State University of New York at Binghamton, and the University of Bridgeport, earning a Bachelor's degree in Biology, a Master's degree in Statistics, a Master's degree in Sociology, and a Doctorate in Naturopathy. With his extensive education and diverse professional background, Marc dedicated his life to learning and helping others. Over the years, he taught biology, worked as a statistician in several hospitals, served as a software designer and Apple technician, and ultimately retired after a fulfilling career as a naturopathic doctor.
During his time at SUNY, Binghamton, he met and later married the love of his life, Alice Panzer, and together they built a beautiful life over more than 45 years of marriage filled with love. They spent most of their years together in Westchester, NY, before eventually settling in Alstead, NH, where they enjoyed their retirement in the community they came to call home. A renaissance man known for his remarkable depth of knowledge and clear-minded thinking, he was a man of strong integrity, honesty, and unwavering uprightness. In his spare time, he cherished moments with his wife, often enjoying crossword puzzles together and walks in nature.
He is survived by his loving wife Alice (Panzer) Serber of Alstead, NH; sister Jody Serber of Litchfield, CT; cousins Jeffrey Adolph of L.I., NY, Todd Adolph of Cummings, GA; nephews Danielle Goldner of Westchester, NY and Michael Herschenfeld of Baltimore, MD; and many loving friends.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00PM on Sunday, May 17, 2026, at Monadnock View Cemetery, 499 Park Ave, Keene, NH.
