Lorri Lynne (Cady) Castor, 63, a resident of Marlborough, passed away peacefully and quietly on Saturday, July 5, 2025, with the comfort of her family near her, at Elliot Hospital in Manchester. She was born the daughter of the late Lorraine (Dupuis) and Donald Cady on August 21, 1961, in Keene. After the passing of her parents at a young age, Lorri and her brother Donald were raised by their loving grandmother, Glennis Dupuis. Lorri was educated locally and graduated from Marlborough High School, class of 1979. On July 31, 1982, Lorri exchanged vows with the love of her life, Jeff. They had a simple ceremony in Keene.
Lorri was a devoted mother, a loyal friend, and most of all, a cherished grandmother whose greatest joy came from the time she spent with her grandchildren. Lorri enjoyed her time working as a caregiver to a countless number of children, over the years within her home.
Along with working, Lorri was passionate about her family and spending time with her grandchildren who meant the world to her. She was known for her warm smile, generous spirit, and the way she made everyone feel at home. Whether baking brownies, sharing stories, or simply listening with love and patience, she created countless treasured memories with her grandchildren, who were the light of her life. She enjoyed spending her days cherishing moments such as playing in the backyard, swimming in the pool, taking walks up the School St hill, going to the children's museum and hosting family and holiday parties. She was also a member of the Federated Church of Marlborough.
Mrs. Castor is survived by her beloved husband, Jeff, of Marlborough, their children, Tim Cady and his wife, Ashley, of Texas, Derek Castor and his wife, Shannon of Keene, Matthew Castor of Keene, and Joshua Castor of Marlborough. She is also survived by her 5 grandchildren, Bailey Thompson, Cadence Cady, Jada Castor, Camden Cady, and Kinley Castor, the family dog, Bowman, and the family cat, Bear Cub, along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. She was predeceased by her parents and her brother, Donald Cady.
Family was everything to Lorri, and she gave selflessly to ensure those around her felt loved and supported. Her legacy lives on in the lives she touched, especially in her grandchildren, who will carry her wisdom, humor, and unconditional love with them always.
