He joined the United Brotherhood of Carpenters in 1969, working for various union contractors over the years until he retired from Vermont Yankee in 2006.

Ken served his community on many town boards, including town moderator for 16 years. A proud member of the Winchester Kiwanis Club for 46 years, he devoted countless hours to building and improving projects throughout the town.
