Jonathan Hill, 69, of Richmond, NH, passed away on January 15, 2025. He was born on October 8, 1955, in Keene, NH, son of the late Daniel and Lucille (Boodey) Hill.
Jon grew up on the farm in Ashuelot, NH, attended Ashuelot School and graduated with the Thayer High School class of 1973. He worked at Kelly Farm and Beaman Lumber. He also worked for the DHIA collecting milk samples from many of the Cheshire County dairy farms. Jon retired from NHDOT after many years of faithful service. He enjoyed and made good use of his retirement years.
Much of Jon’s time was spent in the outdoors. He was an ardent fisherman. Fly fishing was his passion and he spent many pleasurable hours teaching his nephews, nieces, grand nephews , and grand nieces the art of fly fishing. Under his tutelage, two of his nephews have gone on to become professional fly fishing guides.
If he wasn’t already “booked” Jon would jump at the chance to hike, mountain bike, kayak, walk, or take a trip to camp with family, friends, or neighbors....
