Jean Southwick

Jean A. Southwick, 85, a resident of Hudson for sixty three years and formerly of Portsmouth, NH., passed away peacefully on the morning of September 16, 2024. She was born on May 3, 1939, to the late Anna (Hubbard) Blakebrough and James Blakebrough in Woodsville, NH. In 1957, Jean exchanged vows with Richard R. Southwick on October 12 at the Old North Church in Portsmouth, NH. They were married for 64 years and enjoyed raising their family together. Jean will be forever remembered as a devoted wife, loving mother, and proud grandmother and great grandmother. She enjoyed being outdoors and took great pride in caring for her home and family. Her large family will cherish the memories of weekends spent at camp enjoying the lake, homemade blueberry muffins, and boat rides. Family and friends were always warmly welcomed with an offer of tea and cookies.
