Jean Carey

Jean L. (Waldo) Carey, 82, of Keene, passed away Thursday, June 13, 2024, at Cheshire Medical Center after a period of failing health. She was born June 21,1941 in Hanover, NH to the late Dorothy (Morrill) Waldo and Seaver Waldo. She moved to Keene, NH from Barre, VT when she was six and she spent the rest of her life in Keene. She graduated from Keene High School, class of 1959. On July 2, 1960, Jean exchanged vows with the love of her life, Gerald Carey at the United Church of Christ in Keene, surrounded by the love of family and friends. Jean was formerly employed by Cheshire Medical Center as the executive administrator assistant for Support Services where she retired. Prior, she worked for Economy Plumbing and Heating of Keene and American Optical in Keene. Jean had many passions in life, but her number one passion was spending time with her family.
