Jason M Butterfield of Hinsdale, formerly of Winchester died unexpectedly on July 6, 2026. Jason was born January 26, 1982, in Dover, NH. Shortly after his grandparents moved to Winchester where he attended school and graduated from Thayer High School in 2001. Jason lived with and was raised by his beloved grandmother Bettyanne Butterfield.

Jason was a kind soul with a great sense of humor. As a kid he enjoyed trips to his aunts in Vermont. He was an avid listener of hard rock music and enjoyed playing the drums and guitar with thoughts of having his own band someday. Jason also enjoyed tinkering with CB radios and bartering for tools.

Beginning in middle school until 2010 Jason worked at Shir-Roy Camping Area and became a part of the Heise family. In 2012 he moved to Hinsdale and began working the nightshift at HCP in Hinsdale until the company closed. He was a dependable employee who could be counted on to work well with others and figure out ways to make their equipment run well and create quality products.

Jason leaves behind his sister Melissa, friends Robert Russell Sr and Kathy Upton from whom he rented a room for many years and his co-worker and friend Patrick Walker. He also leaves behind many folks who cared deeply about him even when it wasn’t easy.

A celebration of Jason will be held on August 23rd at 1:00 pm at Shir-Roy Camping Area 136 Athol Rd. Richmond, NH.
