Gertrude Ridley

Gertrude "Trudy" M. Ridley of Swanzey, NH passed away on June 13, 2024 surrounded by her family. Trudy was born on June 28, 1935 in Winchester, NH to Edith and Earl Tatro. She was married to Edwin Ridley Jr. at the South Church in Winchester surrounded by friends and family on October 14, 1956. They were happily married for 67 years prior to his passing in 2023. Trudy worked at C.L. Lane Company in Swanzey, followed by a long career and retirement at Peerless Insurance in Keene. Much of the joy Trudy had in life was found with camping, specifically at her and Edwin's favorite campground Pastures Campground in Orford, NH. She also enjoyed quilting, baking, canning and painting. Trudy and Edwin took two trips to Alaska with their truck camper. She enjoyed caring for her husband and household. For those who knew Trudy, knew that she was never shy to speak her mind. She could be described as strong-willed, feisty and spicy and didn't have much of a filter!
