IN LOVING MEMORY OF

Funeral Service
Monadnock Covenant Church
11:00 am - 12:00 pm (Eastern time)
Evelyn Theresa Martin, 89, of Marlborough, passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, March 22, 2026. Born in Marlborough, New Hampshire, on July 30, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Oliver T. and Pauline H. (Beauregard) Martin.
Evelyn was raised in Marlborough and graduated from Marlborough High School. She continued her education through night study, earning the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation, a distinguished professional achievement in the risk management and property and casualty insurance field. Early in her career, she spent several years in Washington, D.C., where she worked in a government office supporting oceanography initiatives. She later returned to her hometown and began a long and dedicated career with Peerless Insurance, where she served as an underwriter for more than 30 years. Following her retirement, she lovingly cared for her father after the loss of her mother.
Evelyn was known for her kindness and generosity of spirit. In recognition of her commitment to helping others, she was honored by the Town of Marlborough with the Denis Horan Award. She treasured time spent with her nieces and found great joy in caring for the many pets she had throughout her life. In her leisure time, she enjoyed woodcarving, painting-particularly realism and landscapes-and working on jigsaw puzzles with close friends.
She is survived by her sister, Dorothy Jobin and her husband Raymond; her brother, John Martin and his wife Lana; her nieces, Monique Jobin, Angela Robinson and her husband Adam, and Rachel Martin; as well as her grandnieces, Emelia Robinson, Sydney Robinson, and Olivia Hill.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 16, 2026, at Monadnock Covenant Church, 90 Base Hill Road, Keene, New Hampshire. Burial will be private for the family.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Evelyn's memory may be made to the Monadnock Humane Society. https://monadnockhumanesociety.org/donate/
