Elizabeth (Winam Robinson) Kenyon entered the presence of her Lord and Savior on September 16, 2025, at the age of 84. Born at Mary Hitchcock Memorial Hospital in Hanover, New Hampshire, on October 2, 1940, Elizabeth grew up in Hartford, Vermont, in a multigenerational home with her grandparents, her Aunt Jean, and her mother, also named Elizabeth.

Elizabeth attended the Bible Institute of New England in St. Johnsbury, Vermont, deepening the faith that would guide every chapter of her life. In college she met her soulmate, Lloyd Clyde Kenyon. On July 6, 1963, they married and for more than 45 years they served side by side in ministry, a partnership Elizabeth treasured above all else.

She later poured her gifts into teaching, serving for more than 15 years as a middle-school educator at several private schools in Pennsylvania and New Hampshire, where her patience, compassion, and love of God left a lasting imprint on students and colleagues alike. In her later years, Elizabeth worked for twenty years at Smith’s Medical in Keene, New Hampshire, before retiring.

A lifelong churchwoman, Elizabeth faithfully attended Northfield Baptist Church in Northfield, Massachusetts. Music was her ministry and her joy: she began playing the piano at age eight and also played the organ, trumpet, and snare drum. She was also part of the Winchester town band playing both the trumpet and snare drum for a number of years. Across the years she sang in—and often led—church choirs, taught Sunday School, and led women’s Bible studies. Whether at a choir rehearsal, a Bible study table, or the church piano bench, Elizabeth’s heart for the gospel and her gentle encouragement drew others closer to the Lord.

Their home was a place of prayer, hospitality, and music. Elizabeth cherished time with family and friends enjoying family dinners and holiday celebrations. Their home was also a haven for God’s creatures; Elizabeth had a lifelong love for cats. For many years she bred Siamese cats, and later she devoted herself to rescuing and caring for abused and special-needs cats from local shelters—providing safety, warmth, and a loving home.

Elizabeth is survived by her children, Jonathan, Deborah and Nathan; her grandchildren, Jonathan, Matthew, Adrianna, Isabella, Victoria, Nathan Jr., Kenneth, Julia, Ian, Elizabeth, Andrew, Melissa, Amber, and Joshua; as well as her only great-grandchild, Wesley. Elizabeth was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Pastor Lloyd Kenyon, and her son, Joel Kenyon.

A funeral service will be held at Northfield Baptist Church, Northfield, Massachusetts, on Saturday, October 4, 2025, at 11:00 am. Interment will be held earlier in the day at Evergreen Cemetery, in Winchester, New Hampshire for family only.

Elizabeth’s family is grateful for the prayers, love, and support of family and friends near and far. In honor of her compassionate heart, the family invites you to remember Elizabeth by extending kindness to others—and, if you wish, by supporting a local animal rescue
