Elizabeth Ann Whitehouse Chickering passed away April 16, 2025, in the comfort of her home with her family. She was born on September 22, 1933, in Keene, NH at the Elliott Community Hospital, the daughter of Charles Ellsworth Whitehouse and Alice Larson Whitehouse. She was a graduate of Symonds School, Keene High, and Keene State College. She graduated with a degree in Elementary Education, and Master's Degrees in Early Childhood Education and Curriculum and Instruction.
She was a teacher and taught on Long Island, Walpole, NH and finally returned to her roots and taught at Symonds School for 38 years. She impacted the lives of many children who crossed her path over the years.
As a long time 4-H Leader she was instrumental in starting the Cheshire County 4-H Horse Leaders Association. She was also very active on the State and New England level as she supported her children in the horse, dairy and working steer projects.
