Elaine Bemis

Elaine Ruth Bemis (Polishan) 82 a life long resident of Swanzey passed away in the comfort of her home after a period of failing health on March 1, 2025. Born in Peterborough, NH on October 29, 1942, she was the daughter of the late Stephen and Cecilia (Caisse) Polishan. She was a graduate of Keene High School and also attended hairdressing school after graduation. She married her teenage sweetheart, Ron in February 1963 and had spent a wonderful life with him for a total of 68 years. The most important part of Elaine’s life was family. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was especially proud of her children and grandchildren. Elaine was a kind, loving and a giving person who truly cherished every moment with her family. She loved all New England sports, especially the Bruins and Patriots.
