Doris Anderson Smith

Doris Anderson Smith died peacefully at home in Keene, NH on Sunday, December 24, 2023, with Charles G Smith, her husband, at her side. Doris was born on January 19, 1933, to Austin and Muriel Anderson in Jersey City, NJ. She grew up in River Edge, NJ and graduated from Hackensack High School in 1950. Doris was a warm, compassionate, kind and loving person who had the ability to fill a need. Whenever something needed to be done, Doris masterfully stepped in to fill the void. She was a true matriarch of the family, with a kind and loving nature. She was a strong “English woman”, who persevered through many challenges in her life, never losing her kindness and sense of humor. Doris was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Keene.
