Obituary

Diana Louise Taul, 69, of Swanzey, New Hampshire, passed away at home on June 15, 2026.

Born on September 4, 1956, in Louisville, Kentucky, Diana was the daughter of the late Gabriel Taul and Martha (Bayer) Taul. She graduated from Seneca High School in Louisville Kentucky in 1975 and carried throughout her life the kindness, determination, and generous spirit that would come to define her.

Diana shared a loving and devoted marriage with her wife, Sylvia Goode. Together, they built a home filled with warmth, compassion, and caring for others. As foster parents, Diana and Sylvia opened their hearts and home to children, providing comfort, guidance, and stability to those in need. Diana’s capacity for love seemed limitless, and she was always the first to lend a helping hand, offer encouragement, or simply listen when someone needed a friend.

For Diana, family was never defined by blood, titles, or the roles written on a family tree. She believed that love was what truly made a family- steady, unconditional, and freely given. Whether someone was a relative, a friend, or a neighbor in need, Diana welcomed them with the same warmth and compassion, as her heart had room for anyone.

Diana was a lifelong learner who valued education and personal growth. She proudly earned her associate’s degree from Greenfield Community College, never one to stop learning, Diana also completed several courses at Keene State College, pursuing subjects, that sparked her curiosity and enriched her life.

A dedicated public servant, Diana worked for many years as an EMT and firefighter, answering the call whenever her community needed her. She later continued her life of service as a paraprofessional at the Winchester School, where her patience, kindness, and genuine care for children left a lasting impact on students and colleagues alike.

Diana loved the outdoors and found joy in life’s simple pleasures. She enjoyed playing softball and basketball, spending time with her beloved dog Zoe, and making memories with family and friends.

Above all else, Diana was a devoted wife, mother, aunt and Nana. Her family were the light of her life, and she treasured every moment spent with them. Her loving presence, gentle wisdom, and generous heart will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Diana was predeceased by her brothers, John Taul and Gabriel Taul, and her sister, Rose Mosley.

She is survived by her beloved wife, Sylvia Goode; her children, Jason Goode and his wife, Aimee LaBonte, and Crystal Goode and her husband, Christopher Hardman, Andrew of Richmond VA and, son Bjorn and daughter Miriah; her grandchildren Alaina, Aislin, Connor, Cyrus, Damien, Delilah; her brothers, Timothy Mosley of California, Leroy Mosley of California, and Anthony Mosley of Nevada; her sister, Lori Hickman of Arizona; as well as over 58 nieces and nephews, extended family, friends, former foster children, and all those whose lives were touched by her kindness.

Diana’s legacy is one of compassion, loyalty, and selfless love. She lived her life caring for others, whether as a first responder, educator, foster parent, friend, or family member. Her warmth could make anyone feel welcome, her heart was always open, and her generosity knew no bounds.
