Christina Lee (Ashby) Aucoin, 68, a resident of Rindge, passed away on Thursday, November 13, 2025, at Cheshire Medical Center in Keene, NH. She suffered a stroke in the summer which resulted in several months of complications and declining health.
She was born a daughter to the late Joan (Valchuis) and George Ashby on February 2, 1957, in Milton, Florida. She graduated from Watertown High School in Watertown, MA. class of 1975.
On July 22, 1983, Christina exchanged wedding vows with her high school sweetheart, Raymond C. Aucoin. They had a simple ceremony with family and friends in Watertown, MA.
Christina was an administrative assistant for Solidscape, Inc in Merrimack, NH for 20 years until she retired in 2019. Following her retirement, she worked at several other businesses in the area in both full and part-time capacities until her recent illness.
She enjoyed the simple and meaningful moments in life such as cooking meals that brought everyone together. She poured her creativity into crafting gifts for others, and she had an uncanny way of finding or making just the right gift for each person. She found great peace in the beauty of the mountains.
Christmas was her favorite time of year, a season she embraced with warmth, tradition, and genuine happiness. Decorating the house was a beloved activity along with watching Hallmark Christmas movies. Her love for these things reflected the generous, heartfelt way she touched the lives of those around her.
Christina is survived by her devoted husband, Raymond Aucoin of Rindge, her uncle, Joseph H. Valchuis, and cousin Dawn (Valchuis) Portillo and her husband Saul of Burlington, MA., a niece Melissa Ashby of Texas, brothers-in-law William (Suzanne) Aucoin of Arizona, Peter (Cassandra) Aucoin and sister-in-law Judith (Anthony) Olson of New Hampshire. She was predeceased by her parents, her brother Frank (Linda) Ashby and her sister, Lauren Ashby.
