Carolyn “Iggy” May Warren, 88, of Winchester, passed away while surrounded by her family on Monday, August 3, 2026. Born at home in Winchester, NH on August 22, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Lewis and Byrdis (Putnam) Hodgman.

Iggy grew up in Winchester and graduated from Thayer High School in 1957. She enjoyed a successful career throughout her life, working at MPB (Timken), U.S. Rubber Co. in Georgia, Keds Tennis Shoes, AC Lawrence Leather, and Burkett’s. Her most fulfilling role was serving as an EMT with Winchester Ambulance, where she dedicated over 20 years of compassionate service before retiring. She also joined the Civil Air Patrol out of Greenfield, MA for over 6 years. Committed to her community, she generously gave her time as a Little League coach and umpire at the Elm Community Center. She was also active in local bowling, participating in ten-pin leagues at Yankee Lanes and candlepin leagues at the Elm Community Center. In addition, she devoted many years to caring for Mr. and Mrs. Judd of Winchester, a role that reflected her compassion and dedication to others.

In 1959, while living in Germany, Iggy learned to bowl and immediately developed a lifelong passion for the sport. She continued bowling for more than 50 years, proudly representing the State of New Hampshire in numerous national tournaments. She also had the honor of carrying the New Hampshire flag at a national bowling convention and traveled throughout the United States competing in tournaments and enjoying the many friendships the sport brought into her life.

She loved taking her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren on spontaneous adventures and impromptu car rides, often accompanied by her sisters. She will be remembered for her wonderful sense of humor, her infectious spirit, and for always being the life of the party. Above all, she will be fondly remembered as a proud "Turtle," a bowling sorority that reflected her unique personality and brought smiles to those who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her daughter Cathy Hartle and husband Steve; grandchildren Tim Warren Sr., Jennifer Earle and husband Fred, Kia Warren and significant other Jeffrey Fortune; great-grandchildren Tim “LT” Warren Jr. and fiancée Isabel Cuevas, Jasmine Warren-Roberts and husband Matt, Logan Earle, Lorissa Warren and significant other Donald Hardy, Hudson Fortune, Leland Fortune, and Collin Warren; great-great-grandchildren Davian Hardy, River Roberts, Bo Terry Warren-Roberts and Annabelle Warren; sisters Betty Snow, June Sonosky, Ruth Archibald; sister-in-law Natalie Hodgman; best friends of many years Marlene Mathieu and Nancy Kyle; and many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her son Terry Warren; great-grandson Kyler Earle; sisters Phyllis Guyer, Nancy Roy; brother Bill Hodgman; and brothers-in-law Gene Snow and Bob Sonosky.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00AM on Friday, August 21, 2026, at the United Church of Winchester, 99 Main St, Winchester, NH with burial to follow at 69 Evergreen Cemetery, Forest Lake Rd, Winchester NH.
