IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Carol J.
Waseleski
September 7, 1946 – February 26, 2026
Carol Jane Waseleski, 79, a resident of Keene passed away peacefully and quietly on Thursday, February 26, 2026, with the love of her closest friends by her side at Cheshire Medical Center in Keene.
Born on September 7, 1946, to the late Eunice and Chester Waseleski in Montague, MA. She was locally educated and graduated from Hinsdale High School, class of 1964. Carol continued her education at Keene State College earning her Bachelor of Arts in Sociology class of 1987. She continued her studies, earning her Master of Human Services, class of 1988, both with a 4.0 GPA.
After working in insurance for several years, she was employed at Antioch University of New England, using her Library Science degree effectively. In 2002 she enrolled at Southern Connecticut State University, school of graduate studies. She earned her Master of Library Science and Information systems and Technology Track degree on May 26, 2005. After leaving Antioch, Carol traveled to Wilmington Vermont to work as the director of Pettee Memorial Library. She missed Keene, so after several years she returned to Keene to retire. Upon retirement she worked part time for Horatio Colony Museum where she organized and helped with many records there.
She lived a quiet life in Harper Acres where she cultivated friendships with her neighbors. Carol had a remarkable gift for sewing and a true eye for detail. She was a wiz at creating beautiful curtains and bedspreads, often refreshing her home with each change of the season. Her creativity brought warmth and comfort to those around her, and her handmade pieces will remain treasured keepsakes for her friends. A lifelong learner, Carol had a deep love for education. She enjoyed studying Spanish and was always eager to expand her knowledge. No matter her age, she never stopped learning, growing, and challenging herself. Her curiosity and dedication to self-improvement were an inspiration to everyone who knew her.
She will be missed by her lifelong friends, Cary Jardine, Natalie Milano, Sue Fletcher, and Eileen Pearce. Carol was predeceased by her parents.
A burial will take place later in the spring at Saint Josephs Cemetery, 61-89 Plain Rd. Hinsdale, NH. 03451. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to New Hampshire Charitable Foundation, Concord, NH.
