Bruce Austin Rockwell, Sr.

Bruce Austin Rockwell Sr., 85, of Swanzey, passed away on December 15, 2024. Born in Keene, NH on April 15, 1939, he was the son of the late Cecil Rockwell and Mildred (Nadeau) Patch. Bruce grew up in Keene and attended Keene schools. At the age of 17, he joined the U.S. Navy as a fireman/mechanic and served onboard the U.S.S. Canberra until he was honorably discharged. After the service, he worked at Triangle Pacific as a plant manager for years until his retirement. A lover of the ocean, he enjoyed going to Maine and making his last stop at Goldenrod in York for taffy. He loved cars, motorcycles, birds, seafood, and riding his scooter around town. Bruce is survived by his children, Tanya (Rockwell) Burr-Porter and her husband Jimmy, Bruce Rockwell Jr., and his wife Davida, and Melissa Rockwell; sister Penny Yardley and her husband Barry; brother Tim Patch and his wife Carolyn; and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
