Alan Clifford Grout Sr., 73, a lifelong resident of Keene, passed away peacefully and quietly on Monday, March 30, 2026, in the comfort of his home with family near.

Born on May 31, 1952, in Keene, to the late Irene Annie (Fish) and Frederick Ware Grout. He attended the local school system and graduated from Keene High School.

On July 2, 1995, Alan exchanged vows with the love of his life, Leanne J. Derby. They had a simple ceremony at the Ashuelot Park in Keene with family and friends celebrating them. They were happily married for 28 years until Leanne passed away on January 22, 2024.

Alan enjoyed his time working as a truck driver at Northern Gas for 11 years until he retired in 2021. Prior, Alan worked for Kingsbury for 25 years and owned his own trucking company, AC Grout Trucking, for 10 years.

Along with working, Alan found great joy in traveling and exploring new places, often embracing the open road on his motorcycle. He cherished time spent with his family and held a special bond with his beloved dog, Jethro, who was a constant companion in his life.

Mr. Grout is survived by his children, Alan Grout Jr. of Keene and Jill Kimball of California. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Rebecca Grout, Breauna Sears, Zachary Grout, Noah Kimball, and Tyler Kimball. Alan was predeceased by his parents, wife, Leanne Grout, and sister Gail Trubiano (Grout).

Calling hours will be held from 6:00PM to 8:00PM on Friday, April 10, 2026, at Cheshire Family Funeral Chapel, 44 Maple Ave, Keene, NH 03431. A burial will be held at a later date at St. Josephs Cemetery in Keene.
