Obituary

Alan M. Frith, age 76, of Keene, New Hampshire (formerly of Clifton and Lyndhurst, both in New Jersey), died unexpectedly in the evening of Saturday, July 18, 2026. Alan was born in Passaic, New Jersey, on Tuesday, January 10, 1950, as the second of four sons.

Alan enlisted in the United States Air Force in October 1969, served in Vietnam, and was honorably discharged at the rank of Sergeant in October 1973. Alan received the National Defense Service Medal, the Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, the Air Force Outstanding Unit Award, and the Air Force Good Conduct Medal.

Alan was a true baseball enthusiast - a lifelong fan of the New York Yankees and Chicago Cubs and, even more so, the biggest fan in attendance at his grandson's baseball games.

Alan was survived by his wife of over fifty years, Teriann Frith, as well as his daughters, Melissa Hoffmann, of Westmoreland, New Hampshire, and Jennifer Frith, of Hampton Township, New Jersey, son-in-law, Brian Hoffmann, grandson, August "Gus" Hoffmann, two younger brothers, Stephen Frith and Christopher Frith, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Alan was predeceased by his parents, Paul and Gladys Frith, older brother, Paul Frith, Jr., grandparents, Charles and Pauline Frith, and John and Daisy Manning, and numerous aunts and uncles.

At Alan's request, there will be no wake or funeral service. Alan's cremation will be managed by Cheshire Family Funeral Home of Keene, New Hampshire.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Alan's memory to the Medical ICU at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, New Hampshire, in thanks for their outstanding care of Alan in his final hours and the extraordinary support they provided to his immediate family during that brief time.
