Thomas Wendell Stockton, Jr.

Thomas W. Stockton or "Peach" to his sister, 32, a resident of Brattleboro, VT., passed away unexpectedly and peacefully on Sunday, December 1, 2024. Born on December 8, 1991, in Worthington, MN, Thomas graduated from Keene High School class of 2009 and later continued his education at River Valley College and was currently enrolled at Vermont Technical College pursing a degree to become a Veterinary Technician. Thomas' passion for working with horses developed during his time with Stoneleigh-Burnham Private School in Massachusetts as one of their equine care coordinators. Prior to joining Stoneleigh-Burnham, Thomas accredited his knowledge and love of horses to the many hours spent working at a horse barn in Guilford, VT where his passion for animal care began. While he was taking classes, he was able to continue working at the Putney Coop; working whatever hours he could squeeze in, thanks to the amazing supportive environment they provided. Thomas' interests outside of the barn included his love for playing his guitar, singing, and writing music. He enjoyed drawing, taking pictures, and playing soccer with his great friend Rey. Thomas loved being outside; whether it was hiking, fishing or just going for a walk. One of the most important things to Thomas, was his beloved Scrabble Saturdays with his sister. Thomas loved his family time with his sister and mom. Thomas is survived by his mother, Michelle Stockton, and her partner, David Segal; his father, Thomas Stockton Sr.; and his sister, Britt Stockton. Thomas is also survived by his grandmother, Penny Ojala, and grandfather, Earl Wilson. His cousins, Tyler and his partner, Sara; Lacie and Carmen Berardi; Hanah and James Mitchell; Hillarie, Campbell, Graham, Duncan, Chelsea and her partner Adrian, along with his auntie Steffie and aunt Dawne. Most importantly he is survived by his beloved panther of a cat Binx AKA Chicken as that is what Thomas would lovingly call him. Calling hours will be from 6:00pm to 8:00pm on Friday, December 13, 2024, in the Cheshire Family Funeral Chapel, 44 Maple Ave. Keene, NH. 03431. Keeping in true Thomas fashion, we invite you to wear your best tie dye or favorite comfy clothes to the calling hours.
